Hi, I'm Mari (MAH-ree),
Mom, plant mom, book devourer and the photographer who will absolutely hype you up before, during and after your session. My love for photography started when I discovered my father had been a photographer — one conversation, one camera, and I was hooked for life. Based in Forney TX and serving the greater DFW area, I specialize in portraits, branding, boudoir, maternity, elopements and everything in between — all captured in the bright, vibrant, lively style that is unmistakably Studio Mari.
Forney TX based, DFW rooted, and passport ready — I've photographed goddesses in gold chains, doctors in doctoral robes, brides on rocky lakeshores and bosses at their laptops. No two sessions are the same because no two people are.
What I Believe
Great photos should work as hard as you do — telling your story, stopping the scroll and connecting you with the people who need to find you. I believe in images that feel alive, not posed — vibrant, genuine and completely, unapologetically YOU. When you invest in your visuals, you invest in yourself and that's something worth getting right.
My Approach
Every session — whether it's a glowing maternity shoot, a bold boudoir experience, a career-defining branding session or a joyful elopement — gets the same energy, creativity and dedication from me. I believe the most authentic images happen when you feel relaxed enough to just be yourself, so I make it my job to get you there. Real people, real moments, real magic — just with significantly better lighting.
Beyond The Lens
I'm a mother, a sister, a daughter, and an unapologetic plant enthusiast — my home is basically a jungle that occasionally produces photographs. Life outside the camera looks like hunting hidden DFW gems for future shoot locations, chasing perfect golden hour light like it's a competitive sport, and convincing myself I don't need another plant. Spoiler: I always need another plant.
